Job Description

Job Summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, we deliver sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products.

This position combines leadership of both the Tax and Treasury functions under a single executive, reflecting the lean, agile operating model of the standalone Food Ingredients business.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, with direct exposure to the Board and CVC ownership, the role is accountable for running global Tax and Treasury operations across all markets in which the business operates-setting strategy, governance, and controls, managing liquidity and risk worldwide, and leading the transformation agenda that builds a modern, scalable finance capability as the business establishes itself independently from IFF.

Where You'll Make a Difference

Tax Strategy & Compliance

  • Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the organization's global tax strategy across direct and indirect taxes.

  • Oversee global tax compliance and reporting, including corporate income tax, tax accounting (ASC 740, including FIN 48 uncertain tax position analysis), transfer pricing, indirect taxes (VAT/GST/sales & use), state and local taxes and international tax matters including US international tax provisions.

  • Lead the identification, quantification, and documentation of tax incentives and credits, including R&D tax credits and Section 174 capitalization compliance.

  • Ensure readiness for evolving global tax regimes, including Pillar Two / GloBE minimum tax, and manage related compliance across jurisdictions.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities, managing inquiries, audits, and issue resolution.

  • Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols across the business to ensure compliance with regulations and good financial practice.

  • Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team to guide policy implementation and the design and delivery of projects and change initiatives.

Treasury Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of treasury strategies, policies, and forecasting models to support business performance and long-term profitability.

  • Ensure effective cash management practices to optimize liquidity, reduce costs, and mitigate financial risks.

  • Own capital structure, funding, banking relationships, credit facilities, and FX and interest-rate risk management / hedging aligned to the organization's risk appetite.

  • Direct the operation and optimization of the treasury technology ecosystem, including the Treasury Management System (e.g., Quantum), trading platforms (e.g., 360T), and in-house banking capabilities.

  • Lead strategic risk modeling and scenario planning to support business-critical decisions and align with the organization's risk appetite.

  • Advise executive leadership on treasury, liquidity, funding, and risk management strategies.

Global Operations & Business Transformation

  • Own the global Tax and Treasury operating model- governance, decision rights, policies, and controls- across all legal entities and jurisdictions in which the business operates.

  • Manage day-to-day international operations, including entity-level tax compliance, multi-currency cash and liquidity management, intercompany funding, and global banking and payment execution.

  • Lead business transformation across the function- simplifying processes, advancing automation and data quality, and leveraging ERP, treasury, and tax technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability.

  • Optimize the delivery model across in-house teams, shared services or outsourced providers, and external advisors to ensure consistent global service levels at competitive cost.

  • Support the transition to standalone operations, including establishing Tax and Treasury capabilities and managing the exit from Transition Services Agreements (TSAs).

  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, IT, HR, and the broader Finance organization to sequence transformation milestones and manage interdependencies across regions.

Leadership

  • Set and communicate the strategy and broad actions needed to achieve the organization's mission, vision, and values within the Tax & Treasury function.

  • Identify the capabilities required to meet current and emerging business needs, evaluate gaps, and prioritize development activities.

  • Embed personal development and capability building through mentoring, coaching, and leadership development initiatives.

  • Define the organization structure for the function, clarifying responsibilities, governance, and relationships across teams.

  • Manage and report on functional performance, holding leaders accountable for business objectives while balancing short-term priorities with long-term stakeholder value.

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with board members, identifying priorities, issues, and strategic challenges and preparing them for discussion.

  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including the C-suite, leading the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.

  • Represent the organization in industry, institutional, and professional forums, and in external relations with investors, banks, advisors, and partners.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • MBA, CPA, CA, CTP, or equivalent advanced qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business.

  • 15+ years of leadership experience across tax, treasury, and finance functions in multinational organizations.

  • Extensive knowledge of global tax strategy (incl. transfer pricing, ASC 740/FIN 48, indirect tax, state and local tax, and Pillar Two/GloBE), treasury management (incl. liquidity, FX/interest-rate hedging, and capital markets), financial governance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven experience leading Tax and Treasury for a global, multi-entity business-operating across multiple jurisdictions, currencies, and regulatory regimes, with experience of ownership or structural change (e.g., private equity ownership, carve-out, or spin-off) strongly preferred.

  • Strong track record of leading business transformation-including process, systems, and operating model change-alongside policy development and enterprise risk management initiatives.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive leadership capabilities with experience advising C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to tax, treasury, and risk management.

  • Trusted partner who builds credibility and strong relationships across senior stakeholders.

  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Adaptable problem solver who navigates complexity with confidence and sound judgment.

  • People-focused leader who develops high-performing teams and fosters a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Technology-forward leader who embraces data analytics, automation, and AI to drive efficiency and insight in the tax and treasury function.
