Job Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to head the technical product management function for renewable energy software, with a focus on automation, control, SCADA, hybrid energy systems, and energy management platforms. This role will own product strategy, roadmap execution, technical innovation, and technical sales support for the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define product vision and long-term strategy for renewable automation and control software.
  • Build and manage multi-year product roadmaps aligned with market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial goals, customer needs, and engineering execution.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of Technical Product Managers.
  • Establish product management frameworks, lifecycle processes, and go-to-market best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, and customer success.

Product Execution & Technology

  • Prioritize product features and enhancements across renewable automation, grid control, and energy management solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering and software development teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Champion adoption of modern technologies such as cloud, AI/ML, and edge computing.

Market Intelligence & Customer Engagement

  • Engage with utilities, regulators, and industry stakeholders to understand market drivers and customer pain points.
  • Stay informed on digital grid modernization, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory evolution.
  • Support competitive positioning, industry analysis, and product messaging.

Technical Sales Support (USA)

  • Act as the technical bridge between product teams and U.S. sales organization.
  • Support RFIs/RFPs, technical presentations, demos, and pre-sales activities.
  • Gather customer feedback to influence future roadmap and product improvements.

Business Impact

  • Support pricing strategies, monetization models, and adoption metrics.
  • Track KPIs to measure product performance and growth impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of technical product management experience in T&D, SCADA, renewable plant controls, or related software.
  • Experience with Power Plant Controllers, Renewable SCADA, Energy Management Systems, or Hybrid Software Systems.
  • Strong exposure to cloud platforms, AI/ML, edge computing, and modern software architectures.
  • Experience collaborating with utilities, regulatory bodies, or grid modernization programs.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61850, CIM, IEEE 2030.5, OpenFMB, NERC CIP (preferred).
  • Experience supporting sales, pre-sales, or sales engineering in North America (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional skills.
  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Engineering or MBA preferred.
