Job Description

Ares is seeking aPrincipal-level technology leader to serve asaleadacross WealthManagement Technologyand our Salesand Marketinganalytics platform, responsible for the technology strategy, platforms, and delivery supporting the firm’s rapidly expandingWealth Management and Global Client Solutions businesses.

As Ares continues to scale its presence across private wealthchannels,including RIAs, private banks,wirehouses, and independent broker-dealers,this role will lead the design and evolution of the technology capabilities that power advisor engagement, distribution effectiveness, and client experience across the wealth ecosystem.

Reporting to theManaging Director, Head of ClientPlatformsTechnology, this individualwill serve as the senior technology partner toWealth Management distribution, sales, marketing, and product leadership, ensuring the firm’s technology platforms support the full lifecycle of advisor engagement—from prospecting and segmentation to relationship management, analytics, and digital distribution.  Thesuccessful candidatewillalsoserve as the senior technology owner for the firm’ssales and marketing analytics platform, partnering closely withtheHead ofInstitutionaland CRM Technology.

This leader willbe responsible fordriving the strategy, architecture, and delivery ofwealth distribution platforms, including CRM and advisor intelligence capabilities, with a strong emphasis onSalesforce and integrated sales-marketing ecosystems. The role will focus on buildingdata-driven distribution capabilities, enabling advanced advisor segmentation, opportunity targeting, and analytics that enhance the productivity and effectiveness of Ares’ global wealth distribution teams.

The successful candidate brings deep experience buildingwealth management technology platforms within alternative asset managers or asset management firms, combined with strongexpertisein CRM ecosystems, advisor data, analytics, and sales enablement platforms. This role requires a leader who can translate wealthdistribution strategy into scalable technology platforms, while partnering closely withData & AI, Marketing Technology, and Client Reporting teamsto deliver a highly integrated advisor experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wealth Management Technology Strategy

  • Define and execute the technology strategy supporting Ares’ globalwealth management distribution platform.

  • Partner closely with Wealth Management leadership to translate distribution priorities into scalable technology capabilities that support advisor acquisition, relationship management, and product distribution.

  • Drive the evolution of platforms supporting theadvisor engagement lifecycle, including prospecting, onboarding, relationship management, product education, and analytics.

  • Ensure technology platforms enable scalable growth acrossRIAs, private banks,wirehouses, and other intermediary channels.

  • Serve as the primary technology partner to wealth distribution, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology investments.

CRM, Salesforce & Advisor Engagement Platforms

  • Own the delivery of the firm’s wealth CRM ecosystem, with Salesforce serving as a core platform for advisor and intermediary engagement.

  • Lead the development of capabilities that enable:

  • Advisor relationship management

  • Advisor and firm segmentation

  • Opportunity and pipeline management

  • Territory management and sales planning

  • Advisor activity and engagement tracking

  • Ensure seamless integration between CRM, marketing automation, client reporting, digital portals, and distribution analytics platforms

  • Drive platform usability and adoption across global wealth distribution teams

Advisor Data, Analytics & Segmentation

  • Partner with Data & AI leadership to develop a robustadvisor intelligence platform, enabling the wealth distribution organization tooperatewith high-quality, actionable data.

  • Enable advanced capabilities including:

  • Advisor segmentation and scoring

  • Distribution analytics and territory insights

  • Product demand analytics

  • Sales performance analytics

  • Advisor behavior and engagement insights

  • Drive the integration ofexternal advisor datasets, internal sales data, marketing engagement data, and investment product datato create a comprehensive advisor intelligence platform

Sales, Marketing & Client Technology Interoperability

  • Ensure strong interoperability acrosssales, marketing, and client technology platforms, creating a cohesive advisor and client engagement ecosystem.

  • Partner with Marketing Technology teams to integrate CRM platforms withdigital marketing, campaign management, and advisor engagement tools

  • Enable closed-loop insights connectingmarketing activity, advisor engagement, product demand, and sales outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Client Reporting and Digital teams to ensure consistent advisor and client experience across portals, reporting platforms, and engagement tools.

  • Platform Architecture & Engineering Delivery

    • Partner with platform engineering and architecture teams to ensurewealthtechnology platforms arescalable, secure, and integrated with enterprise systems.

    • Establish modern development practices including:

    • CI/CD for Salesforce development

    • Automated testing and release management

    • Platform observability and monitoring

    • Vendor and package governance

    • Agile program management, including data-driven improvements to SDLC

    • Drive modern platform architecture supporting:

    • Cloud-native applications

    • API-based integration

    • Data-driven distribution platforms

    • Secure advisor and client data environments

    • Partner with the Data and Artificial Intelligence team to stay abreast of the evolving AI landscape, appropriatelyidentifyingandleveragingsolutions that will enhance developer productivity and business outcomes

    Leadership & Culture

    • Build and lead a high-performingwealth technology teamor architects, developers,product managers,and analystssupporting the firm’s growing wealth distribution platform.

    • Become a trusted partner and collaborator with senior business leaders acrossWealth Management, Marketing, Product Management, Data & AI, and Client Technology.

      • Promote a culture ofdata-driven decision-making, accountability, and continuous innovation.

      • Act as a senior technology leaderrepresentingwealthtechnology priorities within broader technology governance and planning forums.

      • Align technology strategy, platforms, and deliverables to business outcomes

      • Manage relationships with software and consulting vendors

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 15+ years of progressive technology experience with significant leadership responsibility inenterprise application development.

    • Significant experiencebuildingwealth distribution technology platformswithin alternative asset managers or traditional asset managers serving intermediary channels.

    • Significant experiencedesigning and delivering analyticsand insight platforms

    • Strongtrack recorddelivering CRM-driven distribution platforms supportingfinancial advisors and intermediary distribution teams.

    • Experience partnering closely withwealth distribution, marketing, and client teamsto deliver scalable technology capabilities.

    • Demonstrated success leading complex technology initiatives supporting revenue-generating business functions.

    Technical & Strategic Expertise

    • Deep experience withCRM platforms (Salesforce strongly preferred)and advisor engagement ecosystems.

    • Strong understanding ofwealth distribution technology platforms, advisor data models, and intermediary channel dynamics.

    • Experience integratingCRM platforms with marketing technology, analytics platforms, and client reporting systems.

    • Familiarity withdata platforms, analytics environments, and data science capabilitiessupporting advisor segmentation and sales insights.

    • Strong appreciation for enterprise architecture, data governance, and security in regulated financial services environments.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred.

    • Engineering, Computer Science, or quantitative backgroundstronglypreferred.

Reporting Relationships

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$230,000 - $250,000
