Header CleanerLocation:Tulsa, OKShift:MondayFriday | 6:00 AM 4:30 PMJob Type:Temp-to-HireJob Order #:138938Position OverviewStand-By Personnel is seeking a reliable and hardworking Header Cleaner to join a manufacturing and fabrication team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for cleaning, grinding, and finishing welded headers and metal components to ensure they meet established quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.The ideal candidate is comfortable using grinders and other hand and power tools, pays close attention to finished quality, and can maintain a consistent work pace in an active welding and fabrication environment.Required Experience & Skills Previous manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or metal finishing experience preferred but not required Ability to safely operate grinders, wire wheels, and other hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow work instructions and production requirements Ability to perform repetitive finishing tasks while maintaining consistent quality Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE use Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Dependable attendance and strong work ethicEssential Duties & Responsibilities Clean welded headers, assemblies, and fabricated metal components Remove weld spatter, slag, burrs, and excess material from finished parts Operate grinders, wire wheels, and other metal finishing equipment Smooth and finish welded areas according to production and quality requirements Inspect cleaned components for workmanship and overall quality Identify defects or areas requiring additional grinding or finishing Prepare metal components for painting, coating, assembly, or shipment Follow work instructions, production schedules, and established quality standards Report defective components, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors Maintain tools and finishing equipment in safe working condition Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards Follow all company safety policies and properly use required PPE Assist with additional shop and production duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications Previous industrial grinding experience Metal finishing or weld cleanup experience Welding or fabrication shop experience Experience using grinders and wire wheels Manufacturing or production experience Experience preparing metal components for painting or coating Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop equipmentPhysical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and repetitive upper-body movement Ability to safely operate grinders and finishing tools while wearing required PPE Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout an extended shift Ability to work safely in an active manufacturing and welding environmentWork Environment Industrial manufacturing, welding, and fabrication shop Regular exposure to welded metal components, grinders, wire wheels, and finishing equipment Hands-on position involving repetitive grinding, cleaning, and metal finishing Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, and maintaining production flow Stable MondayFriday schedule with overtime opportunities as production needs requireWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Consistent MondayFriday day-shift schedule Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Weekly pay Overtime opportunities may be available Previous metal finishing experience is preferred but not required Hands-on experience with industrial grinding and weld cleanup Opportunity to develop fabrication, metal finishing, and quality inspection skills Growth and advancement opportunities within manufacturing and skilled productionReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel Tulsa Skilled Division1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120MondayFriday | 8 AM 4 PM
