Job Description
Summary:
- Location: Flushing, NY
- Work Mode: Local
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM
- Duration: 26 Weeks
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
- Register patients and verify necessary demographic and billing information.
- Schedule office appointments following practice guidelines.
- Answer telephone calls, determine caller’s needs, and direct appropriately.
- Request and accept payments from patients at the time of visit.
- Reconcile daily copayment batches and prepare patient referrals for billing.
- Arrange patient transportation when necessary.
- Provide basic clerical support functions to other practice staff.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment and respect patient privacy.
- Handle cancelled appointments and follow up per practice policy.
- Ensure task list in EHR is up to date and worked daily.
- Provide clerical support and sort/distribute incoming mail.
Requirements:
- Education: HS Diploma/GED
- Experience with EPIC front desk, copay collection, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, work queue handling, referral requests, and appointment scheduling.
Preferred Skills:
- Spanish fluency preferred.
