Job Description
Summary:
- Location: Flushing, NY
- Work Mode: Local
- Duration: 26 Weeks
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
- Register patients and verify demographic and billing information.
- Schedule office appointments and manage appointment cancellations.
- Answer telephone calls, determine caller’s needs, and direct them appropriately.
- Collect copayments and reconcile daily batches.
- Verify insurance and Medicaid status, and handle referral requests.
- Arrange patient transportation as needed.
- Provide basic clerical support including sorting mail, typing forms, and data verification.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Assist in training new staff with the patient check-in process.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with EPIC front desk operations.
- Skills in copay collection, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and work queue handling.
- Ability to schedule appointments and manage referrals.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Spanish fluency is preferred.
