Job Description
This role focuses on program coordination, promotion, and operational support while helping maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging wellness environment and supporting the department in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). This position supports the operational coordination of wellness programs and services and works under the leadership of the Health & Wellness Director and/or Associate Director of Health & Wellness.

Rate of pay $20.07 - $25.09. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Support the coordination and administration of wellness programs and services within the branch.
- Assist with instructor and trainer scheduling to ensure appropriate program coverage.
- Help coordinate program schedules, class builds, registrations, and communication with staff and members.
- Serve as a point of contact for program logistics and assist in resolving member questions or concerns.
- Support the promotion and marketing of wellness programs through member communication, outreach, and collaboration with branch leadership and the marketing team.
- Assist with program launches, special events, and wellness initiatives to increase participation and engagement.
- Monitor program participation and assist in achieving department goals and key performance indicators related to program growth, participation, and member engagement.
- Assist in tracking program participation and member engagement data to support departmental goals.
Member Experience & Operational Support
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming wellness environment.
- Demonstrate safe use of fitness equipment and assist members as needed on the wellness floor.
- Ensure equipment and program spaces are maintained in safe working condition and report repair needs to the Health & Wellness Director.
- Support onboarding and communication with instructors and trainers as directed.
- Assist with branch events, wellness initiatives, and community engagement activities.
- Adjust work schedule as needed to support evening and weekend programming.
- Serve as a point of contact for wellness operations when the Health & Wellness Director is not on site.
Group Exercise Coordination (Non-Revenue Program Area)
- Assist with coordination of the group exercise schedule to ensure a variety of classes that meet member needs.
- Support instructor communication and scheduling, including coordinating substitute coverage when needed.
- Assist with monitoring class attendance and identifying participation trends.
- Ensure class spaces and equipment are prepared and maintained for safe and effective class delivery.
- Support instructor onboarding and communication as directed by the Health & Wellness Director.
Revenue-Generating Program Coordination (Personal Training, Small Group Training, Stretch Therapy, Massage)
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of personal training and other wellness services.
- Support client scheduling, trainer assignments, and appointment logistics.
- Assist with tracking participation and program performance for revenue-generating services.
- Support promotion and outreach efforts to increase participation in personal training and other wellness services.
- Communicate member inquiries and leads related to wellness services to the appropriate staff.
- Assist in connecting members with appropriate wellness services to support engagement, program participation, and departmental goals.
- Support department efforts to achieve participation and revenue goals related to wellness services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- Associate's degree in health, fitness, recreation, or related field preferred.
- One to two years of experience in fitness, wellness, or program coordination preferred.
- Knowledge of group exercise and personal training environments.
- Ability to manage schedules, logistics, and multiple program responsibilities.
- Current CPR/AED certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
Certifications Required:
- Current NCCA-accredited Personal Training Certification, ISSA CPT, or equivalent (if performing PT duties).
- Certification in Stretch Therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), or similar modality.
