The Opportunity

As a Health Data Science Consultant- Senior Associate, you will engage with clients to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and develop predictive models that drive strategic decisions and enhance employee performance. Within our Workforce Consulting practice, you will focus on leveraging data and insights to optimize workforce strategies, improve employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will provide actionable recommendations that help clients make informed workforce decisions.

As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality outcomes. Embracing increased ambiguity, you will be comfortable when the path forward isn't clear, using these moments as opportunities to grow.

In this role, you will utilize a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. You will interpret data to inform insights and recommendations, upholding professional and technical standards. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is evolving.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing client workforce data to identify trends and develop predictive models
  • Leveraging data insights to provide actionable recommendations for workforce decisions
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize workforce and enhance employee engagement
  • Utilizing analytics software and tools such as Alteryx and Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their human resources needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Applying machine learning techniques to improve data-driven decision-making processes
  • Conducting complex data analysis to support organizational development and talent management initiatives
  • Building and maintaining client relationships to drive strategic decisions and improve performance
  • Guiding teams in the use of emerging technologies and innovative methodologies in workforce analytics
  • Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for enhancing organizational effectiveness

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics/Quantitative Finance, Government/Public Policy, Health Administration/Public Health, Human Resources/Industrial Relations, Mathematics/Statistics, Organizational Management/Behavior, Psychology/Social Psychology, Social Sciences/Humanities, Taxation
  • Assessing healthcare claims data, including standard code sets such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, and DRG
  • Building machine learning models across regression, classification, gradient boosting, and clustering, with disciplined validation practices
  • Applying risk adjustment methodologies such as HCC, CDPS, and HHS-HCC, along with medical economics concepts including PMPM, trend, total cost of care, and MLR
  • Utilizing advanced data analytics tools like Alteryx and Power BI
  • Developing predictive models using machine learning techniques
  • Excelling in complex data analysis and data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Python for data analysis
  • Navigating ambiguity with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Building meaningful client relationships through effective communication

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
