Job Description
Job Responsibilities: -Serves as a liaison between Digital & Technology Services and nursing, providers, allied health and non-clinical end users. -Develops and maintains effective partnerships with clinical and operational leadership. -Analyzes clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Services to determine applicability to nursing and clinical practice, operational processes, administration and research. -Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. -Leads unit level core and sub-teams for operational and implementation work. -Consults with individuals and groups in defining healthcare information problems, identifies methods for implementing, utilizing and modifying DTS solutions and data structures to support healthcare access, delivery and evaluation. -Works collaboratively with enterprise-wide governance and/or unit level Nursing Shared Governance. -Identifies the impact of clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Services on clinical workflows and collaborates with stakeholders to mitigate identified risks. -Analyzes clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Services to determine applicability to clinical practice, education, business processes and research. -Communicates with key stakeholders, sponsors and internal customers, giving presentations, project updates and gathering input on enterprise and operational projects and initiatives. -Serve as a preceptor for graduate informatics students. -Partners for clinical communication and offers guidance clinical workflow processes during downtime events and through EHR reconciliation. -Demonstrates knowledge of system life cycles and complies with defined framework for system implementation for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating changes clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Services. -Operationalizes change by using quality methodologies for standardizing processes in accordance with current evidence, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, billing compliance. -Develops risk/benefit matrices of alternate solutions to help clinical partners with decision making. -Recognizes the impact change on clinical and non-clinical systems to assure adoption across the system. Partners with education and communications. -Collaborates with clinical partners for problem identification and documents workflows (current and future state requirements). -Assists with project and operational testing. -Perform gap analyses and works with clients to identify solutions to close identified gaps and mitigate risks. -Serves as a project consultant in the design and implementation of complex Digital & Technology Services process improvement projects.

Required Education: -Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare/Operations field.
Preferred Education: - Master's Degree Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics or related field.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -Specialty Certification Specialty certification issuing organization upon hire.
Responsibilities Cont'd: -Develops and prepares internal performance measures focused on measuring, improving, and maintaining the highest quality sterile processing department. -Participates in the development of comprehensive and thorough orientation and training program for departmental staff. -Stays current with new sterile processing programs and techniques and provides in-services and training for staff, including standards to measure learning and assimilation. -Mentors direct reports and provides ongoing development opportunities. -Directs and coordinates staff in the sterilization and distribution functions of the sterile processing department. -Prioritizes and manages team members work assignments so that all work is completed on time with optimal results and so productivity measures are achieved. -Participates in work groups and committees related to sterile processing and proactively identifies opportunities to improve service. -Conducts regular service rounds to determine effectiveness and overall satisfaction of services provided. Seeks out information from customers using formal and informal methods. -Creates a system to collect regular and timely feedback on services rendered. Provides feedback to staff and arranges for coaching/training & education as needed. -Trends data and demonstrates upward movement of quality practices in CPD. Creates custom reports to achieve a managerially efficient format for information to be utilized by the CPD Management Team, customers and enterprise. -Contributor on process improvement initiatives including implementing organizational change, data management, process mapping, and communications. -Identifies and implements improvements using CHOP approved PI methodologies. -Become a subject matter expert in the use of SPM and ways to best optimize the technology. -Acts as a resource and encourages staff in the utilization of PC software to increase productivity, improve analytical effectiveness and insure professional presentation of sterile processing information.
