You'll manage and safeguard patient medical records - from scanning and indexing to data entry and analysis - ensuring accuracy, integrity, and strict confidentiality at every step. Accurately enter and manage data within the MEDHOST EHR system
Handle record preparation, scanning, indexing, abstracting, and retrieval
Analyze paper and electronic records for accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and all relevant regulations
Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)What You BringHigh school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HIM/HIT preferredRHIT or RHIA certification preferred
Technical proficiency, including comfort with Windows environments and Microsoft Office SuiteOne to two years of clerical experience, ideally in a Health Information Department or medical office
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with an EHR system preferred
Ability to work effectively with staff and medical staff across the organization
