Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Technician to support administrative and medical records operations within a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, processing health information, and supporting clinical and administrative teams with documentation and data management tasks. This is a long-term assignment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical terminology, records management, or related field preferred
- Prior strong administrative experience required (must be recent, preferably in a medical office setting)
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with scanning, faxing, emailing, and electronic health record systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with sensitive information
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health information practices is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Clinical roles such as Medical Assistant or STNA will not be considered
