Job Description

About the Position: Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.Job Type/Salary:
    One (1) Vacancy
  • Application period: March 17, 2026, - Until filled
  • Hourly salary: $16.58 per hour, $34,500 annual
  • Primary Working Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
    • Full timeMinimum Qualifications and Experience:Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of eligibility for accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT); or two years of experience working with patient records in a medical setting such as a hospital, state institution, medical clinic or a physician’s office.Special Requirements: Based upon the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position being filled, a user agency may require accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Technician (RHIT); or eligibility for registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

    Some agencies may have determined positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8.

    About us: Operated by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) is a fully accredited 15-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic.  Other CACMHC offices located in Southeastern Oklahoma are—Holdenville Satellite, Heavener Satellite, Hugo Satellite, Idabel Satellite, Stigler Satellite, Atoka Satellite and Ada PACT.
