TITLE: Health Maintenance Worker I DEPARTMENT: Facilities Management
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform cleaning functions in Health Clinic to maintain an attractive, sanitary and orderly environment contributing to patient comfort, employee morale and staff satisfaction.- Complete cleaning details according to schedule and maintain established departmental standards.- Understand, demonstrate, and assist with procedures regarding Infection Control and Safety.- Maintain work area in the condition required by health care standards.- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies/paper products in closets to make sure properly supplied and ready for work. - Report equipment and fixture repairs immediately to the Facilities Manager. - Record and report immediately to Facilities Manager if property damage has occurred and if unusual activities have transpired within and around the buildings and grounds.- Other duties as assigned and accepts other work projects independently.
REQUIREMENTS:- High School Diploma or G.E.D and one year experience. - Must possess a valid driver's license.- Must be flexible and willing to work hours as specified. - Mature, responsible person.- Ability to work with limited supervision and set priorities independently.- Must be willing to obtain training and certification for maintaining health care facilities.- Will work in areas where small amount of blood may be present, as well as infectious agents.- Must successfully complete background investigations.
SUPERVISION:- Supervised by the Facilities Manager.
