Health Resource Specialist- Case Management (FT- 1.0 FTE, Day Shift)

Position Summary: 

The Resource Specialist supports patients and clinic teams by performing necessary duties to ensure patients’ needs are met prior to, during, and after a clinic visit. This can include but is not limited to pre-visit data/record collection and entering of medical records/orders; completion of prior authorization and patient forms; identifying/ordering/stocking supplies, equipment, medication and vaccines needed in the clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of medical/clinic experience with scheduling responsibility
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health insurance

Preferred

• 1 year experience working in Epic
• Medical Terminology knowledge

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

• Schedules/Fax/phone/mail/data entry/ordering for patient packets, medical records, referrals, patient paperwork, forms and letters.
• Follows protocols for ordering Wellness labs and sends out patient paperwork
• Completes prior authorization for imaging, procedures and prescriptions
• Coordinates Patient Assistance Program for clinic patients
• Orders/stocks of clinic supplies, lab supplies, medications, immunizations and VFC management

Schedule Requirements

• This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
• The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
• On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
