Compensation and Benefits

The Opportunity

The incoming partner will advise healthcare and life sciences clients on complex federal and state regulatory requirements, business arrangements, operational compliance and transactional matters. The attorney will have the opportunity to lead client relationships, mentor attorneys and grow an existing practice within a platform that actively supports business development.

The firm generates significant inbound client interest through its established digital presence, thought leadership and industry-specific content. Qualified leads are distributed to attorneys based on subject-matter expertise and contributions, providing meaningful opportunities to expand an existing book of business.

The firm may also consider supporting the transition of associates or staff where justified by the incoming partner’s practice.

Representative ResponsibilitiesAdvising healthcare and life sciences clients on complex regulatory and compliance mattersStructuring and evaluating business arrangements under the Stark Law, federal and state anti-kickback statutes and related regulationsCounseling clients on the False Claims Act, healthcare fraud statutes, HIPAA and patient-privacy requirementsAdvising on corporate-practice-of-medicine restrictions, professional-practice requirements and telehealth regulationsEvaluating existing and proposed business models and recommending practical risk-mitigation strategiesPreparing change-of-ownership filings, licensing submissions and agency notificationsAdvising pharmacies and life sciences organizations on federal and state drug-supply-chain requirementsLeading client relationships and supervising or mentoring junior attorneysProducing thought leadership and participating in business-development initiatives
