Copywriter Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading marketing and communications agencies, is seeking a creative, passionate and unique thinker to join our Boston office as a Healthcare Copywriter. You'll join a growing and innovative team of writers, art directors and designers working primarily in our healthcare practice. We are looking for someone with the right combination of social platform knowledge, conceptual approach, self-motivation, and writing skills necessary to develop and execute impactful campaign content. A passion for the art of storytelling, the ability to convey ideas through the written word, and an appreciation for brand consistency must be in your DNA.   You will also be asked to think ‘earned first,’ in other words, develop ideas that are designed to travel organically through media and get people talking. You'll have the chance to work closely with the brightest minds across the North American Weber Shandwick network, solving provocative client challenges as you develop in your creative career. RESPONSIBILITIES  To join our collaborative team and craft long form narratives, shareworthy social copy, and copy that helps to convey earned-first ideas.As a copywriter, you'll be active in the entire creative process from concepting to execution.You should have an innate knowledge of what resonates on social platforms and be curiosity about our client's brand.Craft content that helps build brands with social-first thinking and shareworthy executions.Stay current on social trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into your concepts.Ongoing development of new ideas, creative concepts, headlines, scripts and post copyPresent ideas and executions to internal stakeholders.Write video-based story ideas with the complete understanding of the types of video formats that work best across various social networks (live, long-form, tap for audio, etc.)Synthesize concepts in clear, concise and client facing manner.Ensure all creative adheres to existing brand guidelines and social best practices.Edit and proof materials during all project phases.Wear multiple hats: we're a collaborative and supportive team, so you'll probably have the opportunity to play multiple roles throughout concepting and execution phases.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of copywriting experience in an agency or related field (advertising, digital, social media, publishing/content or public relations)Must be a self-starter, with a record of working collaboratively, quickly and with minimal oversightAn understanding of what works - and doesn't - in social media settingsInnate curiosity and 'in the culture' mentalityThe ability to work under pressure and hit deadlinesPortfolio (share anything that conveys the way you think or approach assignments, even if it was never produced; we like chicken scratches)ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSEducation in copywriting and conceptual thinking is preferred.Bonus skills: experience in healthcare copywriting specifically navigating regulatory reviews.Knowledge of or strong interest in the healthcare space.NOTE: If you are selected for an interview, please come prepared to discuss and showcase your art direction portfolio and walk through your conceptual/strategic creative approach to assignments (show us how your brain works).
