Position Overview:

Associated Physicians Group is seeking compassionate, detail-oriented individuals to join our Patient Support Team as Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representatives. This role offers the flexibility to create a work schedule that fits your life whether you're an early bird, a night owl, or managing other responsibilities. You'll help patients navigate their care journey, schedule appointments, understand their benefits, and resolve billing inquiries from the comfort of your home.

️ Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls, emails, and chats from patients regarding appointments, insurance, billing, and general inquiries.

  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Verify insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations when necessary.

  • Handle patient billing inquiries and guide them through payment options.

  • Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate departments while maintaining a warm and professional tone.

  • Ensure all patient data is handled in accordance with HIPAA standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of interactions in real time.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1+ year experience in a healthcare customer service or administrative support role.

  • Proficiency in EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner) is preferred.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote setting.

  • Reliable internet and a quiet home workspace.

Scheduling Flexibility Includes:

  • Choice of 4, 6, or 8-hour shifts

  • Option to work weekends, evenings, or split shifts

  • Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week
