Job Description

MHA promotes mental health and total wellness for individuals facing challenges associated with mental illness and addiction recovery. We increase community awareness while enhancing mental well-being through advocacy, education, prevention, treatment, and services.MHA is seeking a Part-time Social Club Driver to join our Self-Help, Advocacy and Education Team! Be a part of the team that makes a difference in the lives of our consumers.Qualifications:Applicant must have a current NJ driver’s license in good standing.  It is required that applicants have the ability to operate a 12 passenger van (CDL not required). Experience serving those diagnosed with mental illness/mobility issues is a plus. Ability to aid consumers with carrying groceries is also a plus. Must also be able to use a hands-free device/ iPhone for use of GPS and contacting clients. Must be able to provide services to our consumers in a compassionate & timely manner. Knowledge of Morris County resources is helpful. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the facilitation of club meetings.
  • Assist in distribution of monthly activity schedules.
  • Provide transportation to and from planned activities.
  • Model and facilitate appropriate club member interaction.
  • Maintain adequate program equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with two Assistant Directors.
  • Recruite new club members and maintain any needed contact with referral sources.
  • Perform crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Attend quarterly supervision meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date program records, and petty cash as required.                                      
  • Attend agency staff meetings and trainings.                                         
  • Must meet required productivity levels in regard to direct service. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director / Assistant Director.

Base hourly Rate: $17/hour
