Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Healthcare Operations Manager – Outpatient Clinic (Ambulatory Care). This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Stockton, CA (Onsite). (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.) Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more outpatient/ambulatory care clinics.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective healthcare services.
  • Supervise clinic staff, support teams, and departmental operations.
  • Partner with physicians, department leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and develop clinic staff.
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, state, federal, and organizational healthcare regulations.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve patient concerns while promoting an exceptional patient experience.
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, workplace safety, and risk management.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and patient-focused work environment.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare operations experience in a hospital, medical group, clinic, or outpatient setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • 3+ years of outpatient, ambulatory care, or medical clinic operations experience.
  • Experience managing clinic budgets and operational performance.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • BLS Certification preferred.
