Job Details

We are seeking an attorney to join our health care and life sciences practice, advising clients on a broad range of operational, regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with organizations operating in highly regulated environments, providing practical legal guidance on day-to-day business issues, transactional matters, and evolving regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate enjoys balancing legal analysis with business problem-solving and is interested in developing a sophisticated understanding of industry-specific legal and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on regulatory, compliance, and operational matters affecting their business activitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial, service, vendor, participation, and business agreementsCounsel clients regarding contractual relationships, reimbursement structures, and operational business arrangementsAnalyze and interpret federal and state regulatory requirementsAssist clients with compliance initiatives, policy development, and risk mitigation strategiesSupport transactional matters, including due diligence, contract review, and regulatory analysisPrepare legal memoranda, client communications, and regulatory guidance materialsWork directly with clients to address day-to-day legal and operational issuesCollaborate with attorneys across multiple disciplines to develop practical client solutionsMonitor legal and regulatory developments impacting client operations

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated industry practice, health care law, regulatory law, corporate law, or related fieldStrong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsExperience advising clients on compliance, operational, or business mattersAbility to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and communicate practical guidanceStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesClient-facing experience and strong relationship management skillsInterest in industry-focused legal counseling and regulatory developments

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in California or the ability to waive inStrong academic credentialsExperience drafting and negotiating complex agreementsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentStrong attention to detail and sound business judgmentCommitment to delivering practical, client-focused legal counsel
