About the Role
We are hiring Healthcare Security Officers to work at medical facilities in the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, SC area. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and medical staff. This position requires a professional, composed individual who can handle sensitive situations with discretion and respond quickly when needed.
We are hiring across all shifts — day, evening, and overnight. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
What You'll Do
- Provide security coverage at assigned medical facilities
- Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and grounds
- Respond to emergency situations, disturbances, and code calls
- Assist medical staff with patient safety situations as needed
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
- Enforce facility policies and visitor management procedures
- Document all activity, incidents, and observations in daily reports
- Serve as a visible, approachable security presence for patients, families, and staff
Schedule
Multiple shifts available:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Overnight shift
Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. Specific shift times and days will be discussed during the interview process. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess or be able to obtain a SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration
- Clean criminal background — must pass SLED background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to the Bluffton / Hilton Head Island area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and composure under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
- Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting
