The position is Part-time, late mornings Monday through Friday, some weekends may be required and the rate of pay for this role is $16-19 per hour DOE

OurFitness Specialist plays an integral role in our Life Enrichment and Resident Activities programs, leading morning exercise
activity to stimulate and support the social, physical, and emotional needs of our residents.
OurFitness Specialist
- Leads safe, engaging group exercise classes tailored to older adults a few hours per week.
- Creates a welcoming, upbeat environment where residents are feeling comfortable participating
- Encourage participation while respecting individual limits and health conditions
- Builds relationship-learns residents' names appropriately
- Watches for safety concerns and responds appropriately
- Works closely with Life Enrichment Director on schedules and specific programs
- Interacts with residents, families, coworkers, managers and other departmental personnel in a kind, professional and compassionate manner.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Prior education/experience with gerontology or working with older adults strongly desired.
- One or more years of experience working in long term care setting, home care or a related field strongly desired.
- Ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively in the English language and successfully work in a multi-cultural environment. Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
- SilverSneakers certification required, or the ability to obtain one (details provided during interview).
- Ability to lead with patience, warmth and encouragement
- Completion of a background check. Additional pre-screenings including a drug screen, physical, and TB test may be required per state/local guidelines.
