This Heavy Civil Highway Project Manager opportunity is based in South River, NJ, and combines long-tenured stability with impactful projects for agencies that keep the state moving.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil Highway Project Manager position include:

10-15+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil highway work, managing public agency projects.
Experience working with NJDOT, NJTPA (New Jersey Turnpike Authority), Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and municipal/county agencies.
Ability to manage projects valued around $20M-$25M, from award through closeout.
Strong ownership of budgets, schedules, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
Review and manage contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to ensure safe, on-time, quality delivery.
Conduct regular site visits and partner closely with field superintendents on safety, productivity, and workmanship.
Experience with HCSS software (including HeavyBid, HeavyJob, etc.) preferred; bilingual Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
