Job Description
Heavy Equipment Mechanic prevents and corrects equipment malfunctions for all types of equipment (e.g., mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment), including diagnosing complex equipment problems while following all safety rules. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Services and oversees repairs of all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition Must be familiar with all phases of heavy equipment repairs Maintains a safe work environment Effectively communicates equipment issues with supervisor Adheres to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements Performs other duties as assigned by the manager QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic Trade school or Technical Training desirable MUST have own tools Class B CDL license required Willingness to travel daily within a 150 mile radius of Bath, PA shop DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) necessary Mandatory overtime as needed Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousness Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Muschlitz offers some of the highest wages in the area, and excellent benefits packages including medical, 401k, paid vacation, performance bonuses and more.
