Job Description

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Annapolis Junction, MD | Vermeer All Roads

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel engines and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you're mechanically inclined, hands-on, and ready to build a career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you today!

Compensation & Schedule

$25-$40 per hour (based on experience)
Production bonuses available
Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Responsibilities

Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
Welding as needed
Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability
Proficient ability to document in CDK
Detail oriented, organized, safety focused and team player
