Job Description
A leading waste and recycling operation is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to safely operate equipment used to move, load, sort, and manage materials within the facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections
- Move, load, sort, and manage materials throughout the facility
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
- Perform basic equipment care and minor maintenance
- Complete operational reports and inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Experience operating bulldozers and/or excavators required
- Experience with front-end loaders, forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, or similar equipment
- Ability to perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Strong safety awareness and reliability
- Mechanical troubleshooting ability is a plus
