Job Description

Heavy Equipment/Recycling Equipment Operator- Landfill/Recycling $ DOE- Depending on Experience Full-Time | Monday–Friday |

Are you a detail-oriented and reliable employee that is able to multi-task in a busy environment. If so, this job is for you! A well-established company in the Sheldon area is seeking a Heavy Equipment/Recycling Equipment Operator to join their team, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate Heavy equipment, including bulldozers, compactors, excavators, wheel loaders, graders, articulated dump trucks, telehandler, and forklift.

Use equipment to spread, compact, and cover waste materials to specified grades and compaction levels.

Maintain proper slopes, grades, and cover on landfill areas and Load recyclable materials using telehandlers and forklift.

Oversee the receiving of recyclable materials; including commingled household material, electronics and cardboard.

Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.

Experience in landfills, construction, or similar environments is preferred

Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure operational efficiency and safety

Valid drivers license; CDL license is a plus

Reliable, safety-focused, and physically capable of lifting heavy items

Experience with preventive maintenance or light repairs a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
