Job Title: Helpdesk Analyst Location: On-site — Smithfield, RI (Smithfield, RI 02917) Pay Rate: $17.00/hr (W2) Type: Temporary/Contract (approx. 26 weeks ) Schedule: 40 hrs/week | Monday–Friday 8-hour shift (may flex based on project needs)
This Job Posting is for an 8-hour shift that could fluctuate to accommodate night-time projects and different time zones. Advanced notice will be given to you if your shift is changing. Paid Training is 5 days a week onsite in the office. Training shift times may differ for each candidate but will be in-between the 8 AM to 8 PM window
Job Summary
We’re hiring an Application Technical Specialist I to support technology rollouts for retail store implementations. This is not a consumer/customer service call center —you’ll be supporting field technicians, vendors, and contractors installing or upgrading hardware and technology in stores.
You’ll take inbound calls (and may place outbound calls as needed), document activity in a tracking system, perform basic validations, and provide updates via email/Excel.
What You’ll Do
- Provide first-level troubleshooting support to field technicians during in-store technology implementations
- Handle calls through a queue; place outbound calls when required
- Update tracking tools, complete system checks/validations, and document outcomes
- Send project updates via email and Excel when not on calls
- Support multiple rollout projects at the same time and adapt to shifting priorities
Important Details (Read Carefully)
- On-site role: typically 4–5 days/week in the office
- Must be willing to adjust shift times as projects require (evening/night projects and different time zones may occur)
- This posting is for an 8-hour shift that can fluctuate (advance notice provided)
- Paid training is on-site 5 days/week; training hours will fall between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Start date may be sooner than expected once cleared
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication (clear, accurate, tactful)
- Basic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IT hardware installations (preferred, not required)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
