Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Locum-to-Perm Opportunity Saint Joseph Health System (Indiana)Hospital in Indiana is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to support the launch of a new outpatient service line. This is a full-time locum-to-perm role focused entirely on outpatient care with no inpatient rounding. Providers will work with adult and geriatric populations in a high-volume clinic supported by EPIC EMR and oncology-trained nursing staff.Dates / ScheduleCoverage Period: March 2026 March 2027Setting: Outpatient only (no hospital rounding or call)Patient Volume: 30 outpatient visits per dayPatient Population: Adult & GeriatricPractice Mix: 50% Hematology / 50% OncologyJob Details & ResponsibilitiesOutpatient management of hematology and oncology patientsPerform required procedures including:VAD/CV catheter managementBone marrow biopsyParticipate in Tumor BoardManage bone marrow transplant cases (oversight/coordination)Order tests, imaging, and blood bank needsPrescribe and manage chemotherapy (administered by physician or oncology nurse)EMR: EPICCredentialing: With active IN license: 60 daysWithout active IN license: 90 daysTravel reimbursement included: flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage (IRS rate)Note: Trinity Health does not reimburse credentialing or application fees.Required Skills & QualificationsBoard Certified Hematology/Oncology RequiredActive Indiana Medical License RequiredBLS Certification RequiredAbility to perform bone marrow biopsies and VAD/CV catheter management
