Job Description

Night Shift | 40 Hours per Week | Permanent, Full-Time

Join a not-for-profit, acute care hospital recognized as one of Vermont’s Best Places to Work! The hospital provides a broad range of services, including primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and emergency services.

We are seeking a permanent, full-time Hematology Technologist II / Hematology Specialist for the night shift. The successful candidate will initially train and work as a generalist and must be highly skilled in all areas of the laboratory, particularly Hematology and Chemistry.

After completing training, the technologist will transition into a Hematology Specialist role while continuing to provide coverage in other laboratory departments as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related health science field
Current ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is required
Strong experience and technical skills in Hematology and Chemistry
Ability and willingness to work across all areas of the laboratory
Prior generalist experience is strongly preferred
