Deliver powerful results

To achieve our vision, we are searching for an Algebra II Teacher with a Bachelor's degree (math or science degree preferred), and at least 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience (NY certification preferred), with a proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth.

Responsibilities:

• Implement inquiry-driven, problem-based lessons that challenge students to think mathematically, reason logically, and apply algebraic concepts to real-world contexts.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in high school mathematics, guiding students to mastery in Algebra II"4connecting abstract concepts to visual models, data, and everyday applications.
• Build a classroom culture where precision, perseverance, and curiosity thrive"4and where students approach challenges with confidence and joy.
• Serve as an Advisor to a small cohort of students, developing meaningful relationships with families and supporting each student's academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to co-create a rigorous, joyful founding high school environment rooted in Zeta's mission and values.
• Use data, feedback, and student work to analyze mastery patterns and refine instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Embrace the "start-up spirit" of a founding team"4adapting quickly, solving problems creatively, and building systems that will define the future of Zeta High School.

We are hiring for the 2026"32027 school year, with a start date of July 27, 2026. The salary range for this position is between $71,000 and $114,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience teaching in a lead capacity in a school, NYS teacher certification status, and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales. Teachers who sign their offer by April 30 to join Zeta as a Founding High School Teacher are eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus.
