Job Description

High School Science Teacher (Full-Time)School: Academy of Mount St. Ursula

Location: Bronx, New York Salary: $55,000+ (based on experience) Medical Benefits Start Date: September 2026

The Academy of Mount St. Ursula, an all-girls Catholic high school conducted in the Ursuline tradition and located in the Bronx, needs a science teacher for the upcoming school year, September 2026 - June 2027. We are a diverse school community, and we welcome applicants of all faiths.

Responsibilities:

Teach Regents Living Environment (Biology), AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and/or Earth Science
Prepare students for Regents and AP exams
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons with hands-on lab experiences
Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress
Incorporate and support AMSU's Catholic values and mission in teaching and interactions

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
NYS Science Teaching Certification (required)
Regents/AP teaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management skills
