Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified High School Science Teacher to deliver engaging instruction in Biology, Advanced Placement (AP) Science courses, and related subject areas. The ideal candidate is passionate about student achievement, committed to academic excellence, and able to create a rigorous and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standards-aligned lesson plans in Biology and AP Science courses.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction that promotes critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student performance regularly and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
- Prepare students for state assessments and Advanced Placement exams.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain certification) in Biology or related subject area
- Experience teaching high school Science (Biology/AP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- In-person instruction at a charter high school campus
