Description

Who we are:

EDAG Inc. is a globally leading, independent engineering services provider that combines excellent engineering with the latest technology trends. We are the experts in the all-round development of complete vehicles and smart factories. Our interdisciplinary expertise in the areas of software and digitalization means that we have the crucial skills to actively shape dynamic transformation processes as an innovative partner.

Development with passion. That's us.

With an interdisciplinary team of around 9,000 experts, EDAG develops unique mobility and industrial solutions for customers that include the world's leading automotive and non-automotive companies.

This is how you will grow:

Ensure compliance with FMVSS 305 and 301 standards. In this role, you'll lead HV wire routing, protection, and fuel system safety strategies, supported by CAE crash simulations and validation testing. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape safe, innovative EV and ICE platforms while working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

  • Drive decisions for HV wire routing, protection, and cut-off times to ensure compliance with FMVSS 305 performance requirements across regulated and non-regulated crash modes.
  • Lead decisions for liquid fuel system packaging, design, and protection to meet FMVSS 301 performance requirements in regulated and non-regulated crash modes.
  • Analyze CAE crash simulations to identify issues with HV and liquid fuel systems and propose corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the HV battery team to identify and mitigate risks within HV batteries under both high- and low-speed impacts.
  • Develop comprehensive test matrices to validate HV and liquid fuel system robustness.
  • Support testing teams in ensuring accurate and high-quality data collection.
  • Prepare post-crash documentation detailing results, observations, and required actions.
  • Communicate test results effectively to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

This is how you will take us forward:

  • Proven experience in HV and liquid fuel system safety performance for front, side, rear, and rollover impacts.
  • Strong understanding of FMVSS 301 and FMVSS 305 regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with CAE crash simulations and test validation.
  • Familiarity with HV battery safety, design, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent technical documentation and cross-functional communication skills.
  • HV wire routing, protection & cut-off compliance with FMVSS 305
  • Liquid fuel system design & FMVSS 301 compliance
  • CAE crash simulation analysis
  • HV battery impact risk assessment
  • Test matrix development & robustness validation
  • Crash testing support & data collection
  • Post-crash documentation & reporting
  • Cross-functional communication
  • Experience with HV & fuel system safety in front, side, rear & rollover impacts
