Job Description
Position Summary:
The CI/CD Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in driving automation, improving software release frequency, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles and extensive experience with industry-leading CI/CD tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Administer and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to support development workflows and collaboration.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to streamline software build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to improve software delivery processes.
- Implement and enforce security best practices within the CI/CD environment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging CI/CD technologies and best practices.
- Document CI/CD processes and configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience1 in CI/CD administration or DevOps engineering.
- Proven experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and XebiaLabs.
- Strong knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) administration.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and2 as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience3 with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Jenkins Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment.
