Specifically, the History-Social Science Department seeks candidates who understand the “how” and “why” of History and someone who is ready to contribute to a larger program that connects History to our present and future. This teacher will teach four sections of 7th Grade History, which is a continuation of the study of civilizations begun in the 6th grade, serve as a 7th grade advisor, and support Middle School programming. This position reports to the Department Lead and Academic Leadership and works closely with fellow department members.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience and/or commensurate professional experience
• Proficiency with technology in and out of the classroom 
• Undergraduate degree in relevant field of study

Compensation and Benefits:

• Eligible for: Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, EAP and Life  
• Eligible for 403(b) Retirement plan with an outstanding employer match
• Castilleja uses a competitive salary scale which takes into account the range of experience, education and skill level. The salary will be based on a yearly one that ranges from $90,000 to $128,000
