Job Description
Position Title: Environmental Services Aide
Location: Geneva, NY 14456
Schedule: 10 am- 06:30 pm | Monday- Friday | 40 hours weekly | No holidays or weekend requirement
Pay: $15.50/hr.
Requirement: Must have a personal vehicle; public transportation is not available in this area.
Overview: Seeking an experienced Environmental Services Aide to support daily housekeeping and sanitation operations within the Surgical Services department. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous hospital housekeeping or environmental services experience
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain electrical, battery-powered, and mechanical cleaning equipment such as burnishers, auto scrubbers, rotary scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.
Follow all Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment guidelines to ensure safety when working around chemicals, bodily fluids, and other potentially hazardous substances.
Incorporate safety protocols into all tasks, including proper use of “wet floor” signs, responding to emergency pages, practicing safe ergonomics, and handling cleaning chemicals correctly.
Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary condition, including restrooms, beds, furniture, fixtures, and other patient or staff spaces.
Refill supplies, remove trash and soiled linen promptly, and ensure rooms are ready for use.
Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
