Job Description
Job Summary:The Greeter will be the first interaction the guest has with a Coastal team member, so it is vital they provide courteous, helpful, and prompt customer service to set the guest up for an excellent experience. The Greeter is responsible for ensuring all guests entering Coastal are directed on what we have to offer, how to proceed in their dining experience, and giving them a brief description of what the Coastal experience is all about.
- Follows all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and duties that pertain to the Host role.
- Maintains a positive attendance record Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee HandbookMaintains outstanding guest service standardsConducts the first greet with guests within 30 seconds of guests entering the restaurantPicks up orders and completes take-out preparation correctly as specified by take-out proceduresPerforms side work duties correctly as specified in the "Side Work Duties" pertaining to the Greeter roleFollows all end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy as specified in the "End of Shift/Checkout Procedures" pertaining to the Greeter roleFollows the alcohol serving procedures regarding beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracyMaintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when availableAccommodates special seating requests for guests whenever possibleJob Requirements:
- Must be able to read and communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers, management, and guests
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds
- Capable of working in extreme heat or cold environments Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfactionMust be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in lengthMust be efficient and accurate with money and figuresMust possess manual ability to manipulate register system and handle/serve foodMay be exposed to disagreeable odors, chemicals, and noise, latex plastics, and other materials used for protective equipment Must have night and weekend availability. The pay for this position is $14 per hour + tips
