HIRING: Chief EngineerRamada Costa Mesa / Newport BeachExcel Hotel Group | Full-Time | $29–$32/hrWe're looking for a Chief Engineer to take full ownership of maintenance operations at our Ramada Costa Mesa / Newport Beach property. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll run the preventative maintenance program, manage the maintenance team, lead the safety committee, and keep the building in top condition.What You'll Do:- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and building systems regularly to catch and fix issues before they become problems- Manage all building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool/spa, fire/life safety- Build and run the preventative maintenance program- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance techs- Manage outside contractors for specialized work- Serve as Safety Committee Leader — run safety trainings, maintain PPE, ensure OSHA compliance- Develop and manage the maintenance budget- Track parts/supplies inventory and handle procurementWhat We're Looking For:- 3–5 years hotel or commercial building maintenance experience, at least 1 year in a lead/supervisor role- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and pool maintenance- Strong communication skills — can direct a team, coordinate vendors, and report to management clearly- Physically able to stand/walk 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs- Reliable and self-directedNice to Have:- EPA 608 or HVAC credentials- CPO certification- Bilingual English/SpanishWhat We Offer:- Medical, dental, vision, life, PTO, 401(k) with company match- Hotel travel discounts across 30+ properties- We promote from within — many of our GMs started at property level- Family-driven culture backed by a growing ownership groupAbout Us:Excel Hotel Group owns and operates 30+ hotels across Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, Wyndham, Choice, and Best Western.
