Position Summary
Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Love Field is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hotel Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our full-service hotel. This leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, audit compliance, and ensuring adherence to company and brand standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, hospitality-focused, and capable of partnering with department leaders to drive financial performance and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all hotel accounting functions including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll
- Income Audit
- General Ledger
- Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
- Monitor labor costs, expenses, and revenue trends
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and company policies
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls
- Coordinate audits and tax-related documentation
- Review daily revenue reports and cash handling procedures
- Support department managers with financial analysis and cost controls
- Oversee purchasing controls and inventory processes
- Train and supervise accounting team members as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel accounting or hospitality finance experience preferred
- Previous Hotel Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of hotel PMS and accounting systems preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial statements
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Payroll processing
- Internal audits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Schedule
- Full-time
