Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, answering guest questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout each guest’s stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Process reservations, cancellations, room assignments, and payments.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Respond to guest requests, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Handle guest complaints and work toward appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate guest records and follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to emails or other guest inquiries.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
- Monitor room availability and communicate changes to appropriate departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
- Follow cash-handling, security, and privacy procedures.
- Assist with other front-office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hotel front desk experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential guest information appropriately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Cash-handling and payment-processing experience.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work at a computer and telephone for extended periods.
- Ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, and other routine front-desk tasks.

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
