Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing outstanding guest service and ensuring a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in maintaining smooth front desk operations while promoting a welcoming and professional hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide efficient check-in and check-out services
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a professional manner
- Process reservations, cancellations, room assignments, and payment transactions
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and courteously
- Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily balancing procedures
- Promote hotel services, upgrades, and special offers when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and phone communication
