Hotel General Manager - Courtyard By Marriott Bethlehem

Essential Functions and DutiesManage budgets and financial plans, control expenditure, and maximize profitablility

Maintain and analyze statistical and financial records

Set and achieve revenue sales and profit targets

Recruit, develop, train, and lead staff

Plan work schedules for individuals and teams based on business operational needs

Appropriately respond to and resolve guest concerns

Address problems and troubleshoot

Empower associates to take ownership of the guest experience

Ensure events and conferences run smoothly

Preserve hotel assets, including but not limited to supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings

Maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers

Ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates

Maintain appropriate inspections of the property as identified by the organization and brand

Ensure the property meets brand guidelines and expectations for service and all standards

Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations

Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Required Experience, Education, and SkillsPrevious experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a similar size and type of hotel

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Demonstrated ability to lead a team

Demonstrated ability to develop, empower, and motivate associates

Excellent attention to detail

Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-taskFlexible schedule based on business demands

Work Environment and Physical DemandsSitting at a desk and working on a computer

Walking and inspecting the property, including rooms, public space, back of house and building inspections

Must be able to access and navigate all asreas of the hotel

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
