Now Hiring: Hotel General Manager-
Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) of Venice Inn is a hands-on, results-driven leader responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and guest experience of the hotel. The GM ensures smooth day-to-day operations, motivates and manages staff, maintains property standards, and delivers exceptional service aligned with management/owner expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations & Financial Management
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and back-office functions.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to maximize profitability.
- Monitor daily revenue, occupancy, and expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising guest experience.
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Maintain the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints and ensure timely resolution to maintain positive reviews and repeat business.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall property standards.
- Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor hotel staff, fostering a positive, productive, and accountable work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure staff growth.
- Create staffing schedules that optimize efficiency and operational coverage.
- Sales & Marketing
- Support marketing efforts to drive occupancy, including digital marketing, promotions, and local partnerships.
- Collaborate with corporate or ownership on sales strategies and initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and labor laws.
- Maintain hotel security, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Hands-On Responsibilities
- Actively participate in daily hotel operations, including front desk coverage, housekeeping checks, and guest interactions.
- Step in as needed to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and commitment to quality service.
Qualifications & Skills:- Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or similar role (3+ years preferred).- Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and staff supervision.- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Auto Clerk: PMS a plus
