Comfort Inn Old Town San DiegoThe Comfort Inn Old Town San Diego is seeking an energetic, hands-on General Manager to lead hotel operations and continue delivering exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance. Located in the heart of Historic Old Town, our hotel serves leisure travelers, military families, government travelers, cruise passengers, and visitors exploring San Diego's world-famous attractions.

Position SummaryThe General Manager oversees all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction, team development, revenue generation, financial performance, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate is a visible leader who enjoys engaging with guests, supporting associates, and driving results.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience
- Deliver exceptional guest service and memorable experiences.
- Ensure compliance with Choice Hotels brand standards.
- Address guest concerns and implement service improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel associates.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
- Support employee recognition and career growth initiatives.
Revenue & Financial Performance
- Partner with revenue management and sales teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Identify local business opportunities and market demand generators.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, labor costs, purchasing, and operating expenses.
- Analyze financial results and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Property Operations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and brand requirements.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of hotel leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, revenue management, labor management, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve guest satisfaction, and achieve financial goals.
- Experience with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Choice Hotels experience preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $74,000 – $78,000 annually, based on experienceBonus: Performance-based incentive program
