Hotel Maintenance/ Security/ Shuttle Driver

Position Summary

The Maintenance / Security / Shuttle Driver is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and employees, and providing reliable transportation services when needed. This position supports daily hotel operations and provides excellent guest service.

Compensation: $14.50 - $18.50 hourly

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.

• Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and hotel equipment and report any issues.

• Respond to maintenance requests and address basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair needs.

• Monitor the property for safety and security concerns and report suspicious or unusual activity.

• Conduct routine property walks and ensure doors, entrances, and common areas are secure.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow hotel safety and security procedures.

• Provide shuttle transportation for hotel guests to approved locations as needed.

• Safely operate and maintain the hotel shuttle vehicle.

• Assist guests with luggage and provide friendly, professional customer service.

• Keep the shuttle, maintenance areas, and assigned equipment clean and organized.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, security incidents, vehicle inspections, and other required logs.

• Assist other departments with operational needs as requested.

• Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, security, transportation, or a related field preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to safely operate a hotel shuttle vehicle.

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.

• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Professional and friendly attitude when interacting with guests and employees.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.

• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts when needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting or moving items as needed. The employee must be able to safely perform maintenance, security, and shuttle-related duties.
