This position supports daily pool operations and contributes to the high standards the hotel is known for.This is a great opportunity for individuals who are responsible, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a guest-focused environment.What You’ll DoAs a Lifeguard, you will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for our guests.Safety & Pool OversightMonitor pool areas at all times to ensure the safety of all guestsEnforce pool rules and safety guidelines in a professional and respectful mannerRespond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as neededRemain alert and focused during all assigned shiftsGuest ExperienceGreet guests and maintain a friendly, approachable presenceAnswer questions and provide general assistance around the pool areaHelp create a positive and enjoyable environment for all guestsPool OperationsAssist with opening and closing duties of the pool areaMaintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areasReport any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or incidents to managementTeamworkWork closely with fellow lifeguards and hotel staff to ensure smooth daily operationsCommunicate clearly with management regarding any concerns or incidentsParticipate in team meetings and trainings as requiredWhat We’re Looking ForResponsible, attentive, and safety-focused mindsetFriendly and professional demeanorStrong communication and decision-making skillsAbility to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situationsAbility to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsRequirementsCurrent Lifeguard Certification (required)CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required)Must meet all Virginia State requirements for lifeguardingCertified Pool Operator certification (not required)ScheduleSeasonal employment aligned with the summer season (approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day)Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysHours may vary based on weatherSeasonal Employment InformationThis is a seasonal position aligned with the hotel's outdoor pool schedule.Because of the seasonal nature of the role, this position is not eligible for paid time off or company benefits.
