Job DetailsResponsibilities:As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank and balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures, and providing accurate financial reports.Your duties will encompass a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

• Preparing accurate and timely journal entries and ensuring the correctness of entries for accurate monthly financial statements for a portfolio of hotels.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Working closely with the finance team to improve financial procedures.
• Providing support in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
• Participating in ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hotel accounting experience, specifically with posting accrual-basis journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and property accounting software (M3 is ideal).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet crucial deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
