Job Description
This position works to ensure all event spaces are set up to specifications and broken down and cleaned after events. Provides support as needed during events.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for interpreting event orders and diagrams and setting event rooms to contracted specifications, including setting tables, chairs, staging, linen and skirting.
Thoroughly knowledgeable on the set up and operation of all facility equipment and ensures all items are returned to designated storage locations.
Sets and checks all audiovisual equipment prior to guest arrival. Secures all audiovisual equipment in the designated locked storage location. Is responsible for the inventory pars of AV products and informs Department Manager immediately if equipment is missing.
Maintains guest entrances, lobby areas, restrooms, and outside perimeter locations prior to and during events, including but not limited to snow and ice removal when necessary.
Sets up, executes, and breaks down water service for meetings.
Maintains close communication with supervisor on all events, including supply needs and maintenance of all equipment.
Maintains linen storage areas and ensures linen is stored and organized by color and size.
Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and security of all banquet equipment (chairs, dance floor, chaffers, etc.), function rooms, storerooms, banquet support areas and related areas within the department. Sweeps and mops floors, vacuums, dusts, washes windows and glass; polishes brass, door push plates and light switch covers.
Cleans and stocks restrooms for all events including doors, urinals, toilets, stall doors and entryways.
Assists servers with clearing trays in the dish room when necessary.
