About Our Family:
We are a busy, fun-loving family of four in Wilmette seeking a proactive House Manager to become our household's "right hand." With both parents in demanding careers and two energetic children (ages 4 and 2) in daycare nearby, our home has many moving pieces. Our goal is to find a reliable, long-term partner who can own the daily logistics and mental load of the home. By managing the details, you allow us to step through the door at the end of the day and focus entirely on being present, playful parents.
We've learned that we work best with an experienced professional who operates with a high degree of autonomy. We're looking for a self-starter who identifies what needs to be done before we even notice it. The ideal candidate is organized while also bringing a creative, flexible, and positive presence to childcare and our home. While we have weekly cleaning support, we're looking for someone to oversee household management, meal preparation, and school pickup/after school childcare, ensuring a calm and functional environment for everyone.
We value open communication and collaboration, and we are excited for a House Manager to implement new ideas and systems that help our family thrive. We view this role as a true partnership built on mutual respect and feedback. If you are a detail-oriented problem-solver who enjoys balancing household operations with active, creative childcare, we would love to meet you.
Who You Are/Who We're Looking For:
Proactive & Autonomous: You are a natural self-starter who takes full ownership of the home. You don't wait for a to-do list; you anticipate needs, identify problems before they arise, and jump in to solve them without needing reminders or micromanagement.
Engaging & Creative with Kids: You genuinely enjoy being around children and bring a fun, creative energy to after-school care. You are happy to suggest new activities, initiate play, and stay truly engaged with a 4 and 2-year-old.
Detail-Oriented & Observant: You have a "sharp eye" for the little things that keep a home running smoothly. Whether it's maintaining household organization, managing laundry, or staying on top of meal prep, you take pride in the details.
Adaptable & Flexible: You understand the flow of a busy professional household. You remain calm and flexible when schedules shift and can pivot easily between household management tasks and childcare.
Open & Receptive to Feedback: You value clear, honest communication and see feedback as a tool for success. You are looking for a long-term partnership where you can grow with the family and refine systems over time.

You bring a strong work ethic and a professional background in household management or family assistance. You are a dependable anchor for the family, ensuring everything is handled so the parents can focus on quality time.
